Location: Falckensteinstr. 49, Berlin, Germany

The Watergate is an electronic dance music club in Berlin .

The Watergate was opened in October 2002 in an office building on the Oberbaum Bridge on the banks of the Spree in Kreuzberg by Steffen Hack, Ulrich Wombacher, Niklas Eichstädt and Johannes Braun. Initially, a music mix between reggae , hip-hop , drum and bass and techno was popular, but after a short time the focus was entirely on dance music in the area of house and techno. In 2008, the record label Watergate Records was added at the same address , releasing mix CDs and vinyl records by the DJs playing at Watergate . Resident DJs are Gheist , Marco Resmann and KEENE .

The British DJ Magazine has listed the club in the club charts since 2008, and in 2009 it reached eighth place.
